A leading Oil & Gas company assigned us the task of moving their office assets within the building and to and from their warehouse. In addition to this, our team manages their inventory of all their office assets. We started the project in 2017, with a contract of 5 years.
Our staff manage an inventory of over 200,000 assets and the movement record of each asset is maintained. Overall our team manages over 60 floors, with an average of 60 workstations on each floor.
Our staff comprises 30 dedicated personnel including 2 admin staff and 1 inventory clerk and supervisor. The team has been divided into two shifts, a team of 15 are assigned tasks which should be completed in the morning half and the other team manage the tasks assigned in the second half.
The complexity of the job varies from shifting a chair or box to shifting an office or even an entire floor. Our team manages the inventory of assets of all the buildings owned by the client.
The client has an app in which the team receives the assigned tasks with all details of the task that needs to be done. The job sheet includes the details of the job, date and duration and additional details in case of a complex job. The app makes it convenient to track the status of the job.
Our team maintains the barcoding for all the assets the client has in their premise. We keep a track of where the particular item is located, and in case the asset is relocated the details of the asset are updated in the app. Based on the workload and complexity of the job, more team members from the head office are appointed to complete the job in the allocated time. Our team was also awarded with Certificate of Appreciation for our tremendous performance.
A project of magnitude requires an immense amount of planning and coordination between all the members to ensure the tasks are carried out smoothly. By far our team has accomplished all the tasks assigned in a timely manner with minimal disruption to the client.
